Transformational change: USCG Commandant and her LT daughter show us the way!
Friends and fellow learning leaders,
If you missed this event and weren’t “in the Zoom where it happened,” then watch here now to see what transformational change looks like!
The United States Coast Guard traces its roots back to Alexander Hamilton, when they were formed as part of the Department of the Treasury over 230 years ago. They later transitioned to the Department of Transportation, and in 2003 became part of the Department of Homeland Security. Now, they are the only branch of the Armed Forces who can bridge the gap between the law enforcement of the DHS, the diplomacy of the DOS, and the defense capabilities of the DOD.
Join Admiral Linda Fagan, the 27th Commandant of the USCG and the first woman to serve as a US Service Chief, together with her daughter, LT Aileen Fagan, as they open the audience up to questions about transformational change.
Although we learn that change can be hard, we get to witness for ourselves the JOY and POWER of challenging the status quo, as Aileen and her mom are BEAMING examples of transforming the workforce — not only by our mission and our capabilities, but by our people and our policies. Thank you, Admiral and Lieutenant Fagan!
Lean On, friends!
